July 23rd 2005 - 1st place - RTN Deerhurst

Simon River Sports has demonstrated once more why it is the dominating team of the Raid The North race series.  Taking the lead between CP1 and CP2, we've progressively increased it to finally be the only team attacking the advanced section of the beautiful but most difficult race course we've seen in a 36 hour RTN event.

June 11th 2005 - 1st place - Marmora Lake SAC

Brilliant demonstration by River Sports at the Marmora Lake Salomon Adventure Challenge Long Course. While Liza, our usual partner was leading the Adidas Divas, an all-female team, to an amazing 4e place overall finish, Benoît and Alain, in company of a borrowed racer (thanks Natasha Barton!) overcame early race setback to come from behind and take the 1st place overall, passing the leading all-male teams on the last checkpoint with a daring route choice through the worst swamps Ontario can offer, in 35 degree temperatures.

May 2005 - Heartbreaking 3rd place at the Maine Appalachian Extreme

After a difficult first race start, our team has managed to brilliantly come from behind on the trek, making it in 9 hours less than any other team (!!) and increasing it's lead afterwards only to be stopped for more than 24 hours at the second to last checkpoint, unable to guess the intriguing "secret" passage.  The most disappointing and heartbreaking race ever. Still a decent 3rd place that many teams would envy.
